I'm Niki, and I'm passionate about art, photography, human rights and travel. I love telling stories with my camera, and I want to tell yours. Your senior portrait experience is about the freedom to express your authentic self: your style, your personality and your passions. It's about the freedom to tell your unique story with artistic images that reflect who you are.

As an artist, I am drawn to color, patterns, light, movement and human interactions.  I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the San Francisco Art Institute. After college I taught high school art in a remote village in Ghana, West Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer. This began my love of travel and documentary photography, my teaching career, and most importantly, a respect for cultures different from my own. My travel photography can be seen on my fine art website. I exhibit my work at galleries, community centers and non-profit spaces.

After my time with the Peace Corps, I continued teaching art and photography in an independent school in Tanzania, Crystal Springs Uplands School in Hillsborough, and The Athenian School in Danville. I led high school trips around the world accompanying my students to faraway places: Cambodia, China, Cuba, Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand and Vietnam. I still love to travel, but now I share these experiences with my two children and my husband. They are the love of my life, and they keep me active and inspired.

I love what I do, and I hope you'll join me for a fun photo session that documents your journey and highlights your individuality. I only accept a limited number of seniors each year in order to provide a one-of-a kind customized storytelling experience.
